  • How should I dress?

We have no dress code other than modesty, so come as you are or dress up as much as you like. God is our passion, not your appearance.

  • What is your style of worship?

This questions raises some very important issues. First, what is worship in the first place? Scripturally speaking, worship is not about music. While most churches (and, therefore, Christians) consider worship a function of a particular style of music, we want to make worship primarily about God. It is disheartening when churches fracture over music styles rather than focusing on the true heart of worship. For us, worship is our proper response to God's revelation of Himself.

Secondly, what is the role of music? Music serves as one form of cultural expression of praise. Much of the debate over music is in fact a debate over culture. What sounds like music in one culture may be mere noise or grating tunes in another. Church music has developed over time from chants to choral arrangements, etc. The Bible speaks mainly of "psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Ephesians 5:19). Therefore, a variety of music should characterize our praise, and, for this reason, we desire to incorporate the best music available from various genres into our times of praise. For more information see John Frame's Contemporary Worship Music: A Biblical Defense. Phillipsburg, N.J.: P & R Publishing, 1997.

  • Do you have a nursery?

Yes, we provide a nursery for parents of young children through age 3 during our worship services. Any of our greeters will be happy to show you to the nursery and help you register your child.

  • What kind of children's ministries do you provide?

We have Kid's Worship and Kid's Bible Study every Sunday morning from 9:15am - 10:15am. The classes are currently divided into two groups:

    • Preschool - First Grade
    • Second Grade - Sixth Grade

We also have a class for Youth.

  • Why do you do weekly communion?

We celebrate communion as an active response of worship. It is the gospel in drama tangibly representing the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins. Rather than relegate communion to the status of a special event to be enjoyed a few times a year, we choose to celebrate our union with Christ and our unity with one another every week as we actively respond to God's revelation of Himself through the preached word.

  • How do I become a member of Seven Springs?

To become a memeber of Seven Springs see one of our pastors and sign up for a New Member's Class. The New Member's Class begins on the first Sunday of every month and lasts 3 weeks. It meets during the Sunday Morning Bible Study time (9:15am - 10:15am).

  • Do I have to be a member to attend meetings and events at Seven Springs?

No, absolutely not. You are always welcome to participate in events at Seven Springs whether you are a member or not. However, membership at Seven Springs is another step into the heart and soul of our community. If you are a Christian, and you are not actively involved in a church as a member, then why not go ahead and become a member of Seven Springs. We realize that a lot of people like to lurk and don't want to engage, but we encourage you to jump in with both feet and become a real part of our family. In the meantime, you're welcome to lurk as long as you need.
